Private Equity Group Looking To Get Out Of Balkans

The private equity company Salford Capital is looking to sell its positions in the Balkans within the next two years and attract interest from some of the world's largest food and drink companies, including Danone and Nestlé. The region has been hit particularly hard by the global economic crisis of the past two years, with an ongoing mishmash of elevated unemployment and a very weak near-medium term private consumption outlook suggesting that weakness is likely to persist for some time and with strong growth resuscitators like cheap capital and foreign investment not forthcoming.
