Nestlé Plans R&D Facility To Better Target Indian Consumers
September 2010 | Company News AlertWith hopes of leveraging on India's vast lower-income consumer base, Swiss food giant Nestlé will invest up to CHF50mn (US$50.7mn) in a new research and development (R&D) facility in the country's Haryana state. The new R&D facility, scheduled to be operational by July 2012, will be used to better tailor its cereals, beverages and dairy products to meet the specific needs of the Indian consumer as well as to facilitate innovation across its multiple product categories so as to capture a larger share of the attractive Indian food sector.
