ABI May Seek Acquisitions To Bolster US Craft Presence

The fast growing craft beer segment continues to be targeted for investment in the US. The country's second largest brewer MillerCoors, owned jointly by SABMiller and Molson Coors, announced in its latest conference call that it would continue investing heavily in its Tenth & Blake craft beer and import unit, with investment at a 'disproportionate' rate behind its craft brands. The firm is currently trialling its craft offering in six new areas of the US and reports that the early reception has been very positive.
