Chilean Soft Drink Sales Register Strong Bounce In 2010 But Still Showing Signs Of Maturity
January 2011 | Industry Trend AnalysisFigures posted by the Chilean soft drink association Anber and by local soft drink producer Embotelladora Andina point to a strong jump in consumption during 2010. For the 12 months to the end of December Andina reports that its volumes increased by 6.7% to 489.2mn unit cases, while revenues surged by 13.1% to CLN888.71bn. The firm generates around one third of its sales in Chile and in this market Andina's volumes increased by 6%, while revenues were up by 8.3%. This growth is in line with figures reported by the local industry association, which reported that carbonated soft drink sales
