Honey Monster Could Receive Healthy Makeover Under Raisio

Finnish food group Raisio has announced the acquisition of UK-based food producer Big Bear Group for EUR95.3mn (US$130mn). Big Bear's portfolio of brands includes Sugar Puffs cereal and Fox's confectionery and the firm generated revenues of EUR65.1mn in the 12 months to the end of August 2010. The move comes one year after Raisio bought UK snack company Glisten for EUR22.8mn and indicates that the firm continues to be focused on its brand-led food business.
