Strong Drinks Sales At Fortune Brands And LVMH Highlight Takeover Attractiveness

Two alcoholic drinks producers that have been earmarked as potential acquisition targets have posted strong results for their latest financial year. US-based Beam Global, part of consumer goods group Fortune Brands, reported a 7% rise in net sales for the 12 months to the end of December 2010. Meanwhile, France-based luxury goods group LVMH reported sales growth of 19% at its drinks arm for the same period.
