Pakistan is fast emerging as a key target market for bottled water manufacturers, due to growing concerns over contamination levels in the country's drinking water supply. However, research agencies have sounded the warning bell over this growing trend. Their concerns not only include the effect bottled water consumption is having on the profit margins of manufacturers to the detriment of consumer incomes and valuable foreign exchange levels, but also just how much of this supposedly safe alternative is actually suitable for consumption
