Leading Finnish retailer Kesko is exiting its 50/50 joint venture (JV) in the Baltics, despite rapid growth in the retail food sector in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. The deal gives ICA Baltic, a subsidiary of ICA Group in Sweden (in turn owned by Dutch retailer Ahold), control over the Rimi Baltics chain with around 200 stores in the three Baltic markets.
