US retail giant Wal-Mart has reportedly acquired three Argentine hypermarket sites from Spanish construction firm San José in a deal worth US$30mn. The locations, which formerly belonged to now-departed Dutch retailer Ahold, will greatly assist Wal-Mart in its aim of opening 12 new supercentres in the next two years.
