UK confectionery big-hitter Cadbury Schweppes has bought a majority stake in Romanian confectioner Kandia-Excelent, one of the country's biggest producers of chocolate and biscuits. This is a part of a series of acquisitions the company has been making in emerging markets as it looks to improve profit margins while reshuffling the company management.
