Recent developments in Bahrain's food and drink industry reflect the level to which it is connected to both the regional and international markets, as discussed in BMI's recently-published Bahrain Food & Drink Report for Q307. In July it was reported that Bahrain is facing a severe supply shortage of Australian sheep, following two years of drought that has greatly reduced the number of animal available for export from Australia.
