Croatia's Agrokor Group is now the frontrunner to acquire a majority stake in Turkish retail chain Migros Türk for a reported US$3.2bn. After months of speculation regarding who will take over Turkey's largest retailer, and the leading bidder Carrefour dropping out of the running, talks over the sale have now reached their final stage, although a deal has yet to be officially signed.
