The start of 2008 has seen another wave of international retailers announce their expansion intentions for the Romanian mass grocery retail (MGR) market. Germany's Tengelmann, which is already present in the country with its Plus discount chain, will open 25 new stores throughout 2008, representing an investment of EUR75mn (US$104.1mn).
