Swiss food giant Nestlé has announced plans to make a major investment to upgrade its Bulgarian production facilities. Nestlé will invest EUR10mn (US$15.5mn) on new equipment to upgrade its Bulgarian factory, which will start producing its new KitKat Senses chocolate bar. This investment is one of many the company has made in its Bulgarian business, having put EUR10mn (US$15.5mn) into upgrading its local confectionery plant over this past year alone, as it looks to strengthen its position in this fast-emerging market.
