US rice bran processor NutraCea has entered into a joint venture with Chinese food giant Bright Dairy & Food Company Ltd for the construction of a 500,000-tonne rice bran processing plant to the north east of Shanghai. The investment - the value of which has not been disclosed - is an opportunity for both firms to gain expected benefits from soaring edible oil prices by providing consumers with a lower priced
