Hong Kong held its first International Wine Fair between August 14 and 16 as the market continues its quest to establish itself as a major trading hub for Asia's burgeoning wine industry. With London - the world's largest fine wine trading hub - selling around US$500mn of wine to China alone in 2007, Hong Kong is keen to participate more fully in this immensely profitable industry.
