Australian brewing giant Lion Nathan has successfully weathered plummeting consumer confidence in its key markets of Australia and New Zealand to post impressive first half financial results. For the six months ending March 2009, the company saw revenues climb 6% to AUD1.2bn (US$924.8mn), while net income increased by 6.9% to AUD176mn (US$135.6mn), putting Lion Nathan in the enviable position of being able to retain its full-year earnings outlook of AUD305-315mn
