Dutch brewing company Heineken is to acquire the remaining stake in Indian joint venture Heineken-APB India from Singapore's Asia Pacific Breweries (APB) in order to end a long-running feud with its Indian partner United Breweries (UB). Heineken was locked in a battle with UB since it acquired 37.5% of the firm as part of its takeover of Scottish & Newcastle (S&N) in 2008. UB argued that the Dutch firm's APB partnership represented a conflict of interests.
