Leading vertically integrated Russian meat producing and processing company Cherkizovo expects its outperforming pork unit to drive headline volume growth for FY09 (12 months ending December 31 2009). Year-end pork volume sales increased by 38% year-on-year (y-o-y), with Q4 volume growth momentum likely to have been particularly strong after the pork unit registered 23% y-o-y 9M09 growth to reach just under 36,000 tonnes.
